Securing the booking

After you have got in touch, and we have discussed and agreed on what you would like, along with the price and deadline if necessary, I will ask for a 25% non refundable deposit, this is mainly for supplies needed and to secure your spot in my diary.

I do recommend booking well in advance of holidays or certain deadlines such as birthday presents to ensure it is complete and delivered on time.

After all of this is agreed and deposit is paid I will make a start, along with sending progress pictures. Your piece of art should be completed within 2-6 weeks. I will then send you a photo of the completed commission and when you and I are 100% happy I will ask for the remainder of the money. Your piece of art will the be shipped with tracking so we know it has arrived safely.

Image quality

You may already know about all of this but image quality is important when looking for a commission, however if the image is an older one and whoever or whatever you would like me to draw if no longer with us, I will make exceptions.

If you are unsure about quality or which image you would like to choose, I am more than happy to help you with this process.

Consider the following when choosing your images;

  • Is the camera too far away? Will zooming in cause the image to blur too much?

  • Is the subject moving? this can also cause blurriness (and make it harder for me to draw)

  • Is the lighting good? Are the shadows too dark, or is there a bright light, this can make it hard for accuracy of the drawing.

  • Is the image you are sending of a photo in a frame? Frames can get glare across the glass, consider how this could make the image look.
